it's probably my most favorite place in jogja, called sadranan beach. lying on the line of southern beach of java island, this quite hidden beach offers you the breathtaking view. this beach has everything you want from a beach, except proper shower rooms, hahaha..
you'll see clear blue water, white sand, reefs, and coral cliff (well, and the hot sunny perfect weather if god permits). the sand is not soft, it's as big as sesame seeds. the wave is big but a wide bunch of coral not too far from the shoreline (i guess around 25meters away) blocks up the wave so that the water on the shore is quite steady. and since this beach is located far away from the main beach, baron beach, not so many people know about this beach. sometimes when i and my friends go there, we'll have the beach for ourselves.
it takes around 2.5 hours to get there from the center of jogja city, but it will be paid off well soon as you get there. above is my boyfriend's fave pic of the beach when we went there in march 2009.
