ribsss

i and my boyfriend are often disappointed everytime we go out to eat. because in jakarta sometimes the price doesn't really reflect the taste. this time i decided to eat in 'sop konro karebosi' (which in english will be ribs soup). masheru had this when he went to makassar, south sulawesi, where this food is originated. karebosi itself is the name of a field in makassar where the owner of this restaurant first sold this food. meanwhile konro is the local language for ribs.

thankfully, it has one branch in kelapa gading which is quite near from my workplace so i was excited to try this konro. well to be really honest, we paid around Rp 100.000 for one portion grilled ribs, one portion ribs soup, 3 plates of rice, and 2 glasses of sweet ice tea and they're worth every cent!

the ribs was so big yet tender. if you order the grilled one, you'll also get the broth just like the one in green bowl in the picture. the grilled ribs is different from other grilled ribs because it's served with peanut sauce, just like when you eat indonesian satay. however, the peanut sauce tastes really delicious, not too thick but not too sloppy, not too sweet as well. as for the soup, the broth is really light and tastes better if you put a little bit of chilli in it. it's highly recommended!!

here's the address:
Jl. Bulevar Kelapa Gading Blok TA2/38 , Kelapa Gading - Jakarta Utara
